That’s what I said man, just sleep in them, they’ll loosen up.

I have a feeling now that the JE models are all wearing large/3, that things are getting cut slimmer. I have some flannels from back in the day in size 1 and they are still “loose”/fit well, this season I had to size up on the straight hem flannels because they were so tight in the shoulder and chest. And I know it isn’t because I’m getting bigger/fatter because my weight has been stable and the old **** still fits the same. The denim this season has been pretty tight, especially both graphite pairs. Maybe they are trying to accommodate women and make things more unisex?

All the years of Japanese raw denim have prepared me for this.

I'm not sure if the new stuff is slimmer. I just think with JE's style skewing to oversized/dad fit they just started to style the models a size up to reflect that.

Can anyone on here read Japanese? There’s a few post on the MARS website that are from an article with JE but are in Japanese. I’d love to know what they say

I need to stop looking at the jacquard thumper product page. That's a nice looking jacket. If anyone is not happy with their small, let me know.

I’m hoping the ss-19 flannels fit better. I have the honey color flannel on the way so hoping Small fits well.

TLDR for people who don't want to translate themselves (anyone who actually speaks japanese well please chime in): A while back John bought some MARS stuff while in Japan and Kanye asked him where he got it so he knew it was extra fire if Kanye was asking about it. Then fast forward down the road he wanted to put jewelry in the runway shows, so he hit up the MARS people and they were fans of the villain hoodie and believed there was some overlap between the villain minimalism and their own jewelry, so the collab was a natural fit. They sent some photos back and forth and both had similar tastes in architecture so they built around that, and now they're releasing the collab at Itesan Shinjuku in a couple weeks.
