I have a job orientation tomorrow and I was wondering what should I wear? Their email said black pants, dress shoes, white dress shirt and a tie but nothing specific. My job is at the airport. Is a black suit with white dress shirt and a black tie and dress shoes fine? or is that too much?

I'd say you should wear black pants, a white shirt, a conservative tie, and black shoes. And I would skip the suit- the instructions sound pretty damn specific to me, and they don't say suit.

If it's not a job that would normally require a suit, I wouldn't wear one. Wear the uniform since they bothered telling you what it is.

Of course I'm will be following the rules but I'm also thinking maybe they put that because not a lot of people own suits(expensive) and also I have a minor problem, my dress clothes is in another state so I only have this white dress shirt that is a little small and the arm length if short, it doesn't cover my wrist that's why I'm having thoughts of wearing a suit to cover it. I have many colors of fitted dress shirt but unluckily forgot the other white ones.

You can't go wrong with a quiet dark blue or burgundy tie. Welcome to Styleforum and best of luck.
