Very different than a cordovan shoe though so be careful. These are waxed so they are matte, and oily, not shiny.

I own a pair of the jcrew ones and they're not waxy or oily. Their copy writers do not really know any of the shoes they sell.

Interesting. If it was chromexcel I could understand since that could be described as oily and a bit waxy. I'm glad to hear these aren't waxy though. Now if only I could find a discount code (got free shipping code but that's it).
