Although this frame might not be for you do not discredit the amazing vermillion colorway. I was NOT a fan of this color until I found the perfect frame for me in it. Now I’m obsessed. I have a feeling you’re on the verge of really enjoying the color you just need a better frame model to suit u.

I believe I may have found the ideal Vermillion frame ;)

I've found the ideal Vermillion frame...

GG, but now I'm annoyed. I came across their website last November and bookmarked that Loewy and that GT for purchase later this Spring with my tax refund. I knew they were off the Google grid so I was hoping no one would ever find that little shop. I passed on a GT I held in person at a JMM gallery because I had that GT in Canada already bookmarked. I even contacted the shop on Boxing Day to see if they had any holiday discounts. Unfortunately not.

But congrats to the two who grabbed those frames! Ugh for me; lesson learned 😅
You’re a class act to congratulate the couple of fellers who purchased the frames you were birddogging. Not many people would.

Sorry for you, but if you see a frame you like, especially a discontinued one, you have to be quick.

Ah! I apologize!

They are really nice people at G! Have not been in too long. I shifted funds to watches a couple of years ago, but constantly am checking their store now to see stock. More recently seeing if the Leclair pops up.

Any of you buy the Ari? Another classic I was close to buying from them a couple years ago, but opted against.

Yes, I did, this was my lucky day. I was chasing them a long time, I had seen some on Grailed at horrendous prices, and couldn't trust my eyes as I saw them on that webshop, together with the Loewy Marigold. And I also had to justify the salty shipping costs.

Yes I was wondering about the shipping costs. Im unfortunately not surprised they are very high. The business I am at does very large volume with UPS (in our case) and the annual shipping costs- even at the highest volume breaks negotiated- are mind blowing to me.

These two frames are amazing. The Ari I particularly liked. When JMM prices were lower, I ended up opting for the Clyde from the JMM website instead of the Ari. Clyde in Agar: $625 USD (~$820ish CDN). The Ari price was the same today as it was in 2022 in-store at G when I waffled over them.

Procured my first pair of JMM—Herbie (RX) in argyle. Taking them to my optometrist tomorrow to get transition lenses put in. What color should I go with?
I really dug xtra-active brown. It makes for a tonal look. It looks like a true brown.

They'll change behind the wheel though, and behind windows inside.

I tried out emerald green transitions and was disappointed. Feels more like a dingy grey-green, not different enough from the graphite green.

I have several photochromic lenses from Essilor and Zeiss. They all look brown or black except for Zeiss photofusion blue. That’s a real friggin blue.
