I am not working with a local bespoke, but rather remotely with a group that has a very good pattern of me and I have ordered numerous jackets/suits. They accommodate nearly every request (including an asymmetric collar, etc.)
I prefer double vents and my jackets hang excellently on the backside. I often put my hands in my pockets, etc. and have noticed that often the outside portion of the vent will 'hang' around the center portion. I can easily shake or push with my hand and get the correct orientation again. During day to day walking, sitting, etc. without messing around with my pockets the vent stays perfectly closed and overlapped. Heavier fabrics help of course.
Besides asking for a 'vent strap' or something along those lines, are there any particular buzz words or recommendations I should ask for on my next jacket? Perhaps, asking for more overlap on the vent? Lining the vent (I typically go half or quarter lined with heavier fabrics)?
