1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I recently ordered a linen, cream with beige stripes, sb,unvented, 1/4 lined, sportcoat from online suits. Also ordered 5 shirts(2 linen,1 egyptian cotton,1 swiss cotton and 1 ? cotton). Anyways, my question is this, the jacket I got matches perfectly in color and fabric to a pair of linen, flat front, pants from Armani I already had. Can I wear these together and pull it off as a casual summer suit ? I looked from all angles and different light sources and I could swear they were made together. Also if I can do it, can I wear my newly gotten johnston & murphy cream/white spectator shoes wit it?

If you cannot tell, and if you think they are not done in contrasting styles, why not? Nobody will scrutinize the combo like you have done.

If you cannot tell the fabrics apart, then nobody will.
The spectator shoes will probably be a very good match.

I love it when things like that happen. It must be a sign; you should probably buy a lottery ticket too. Go for it.

go for it, make sure the nap and direction of the fabric are moving in the same direction..I live linen, and a linen suit for casual summer wear is a great look...and if worse come to worse pick up a pair of pants in a color that will go, cream jacket with brown, black, navy, medium blue, you really cannot go wrong..actually you should pick some of those slacks up to for variety....sorry, I couldn't help myself....

We would be disappointed if you didn't wear the shoes with that combo. And yes, if you've niggled over the coat and pants like that and can't tell, there's no way anyone else will. Bully for you, I say Sir.
