200 pounds for a 425 pound overcoat? And a pretty nice looking one at that? If it's appropriate for your budget, and is appropriate for your wardrobe, go for it.

The price is a steal for sure. However, I'm not sure if it will fit me based on MrPorter measurements & manufacturer descriptions. Size "S" seems to be for 38cm chest; I am a true 36cm, and I want a slim 36 coat. Anyone have enough experience with Aubin & Wills coats to know if Size S is for 36 or 38?

I assume you mean 36 inches, and not 36cm, unless you're the size of a newborn baby...

You should probably look for coats which actually come in size 36; anything sizes as S/M/L is generally to be avoided, especially when buying online, as those sizes can mean anything.

Thats what I usually do. I posted this thread because this coat seemed like a steal and was hopeful. Are MrPorter measurements fairly accurate?
From what I see, the chest, waist, and sleeve length would be good, but the shoulders (18.5) are very large compared to the rest of the coat. For example, J.crew's coat (also in S, M L) of similar length measures 18.5 shoulders for a size Large.

I guess the best way to find out is to purchase it and return if needed.

He told you!

Does anyone know more about Aubin & Mills quality? My expectations are not super high for this coat, but I'm hoping the material is not coarse and scratchy like one of J.crew's coats.

Otherwise, if you're interested, i'll provide quality information once I receive my order.

If its any help I bought a sweatshirt from them a few days ago. I was impressed with the quality, the material was thicker than expected but still soft. I bought it for £25 reduced from £50.
