If we can leave aside sniffiness about Ted Baker for a moment...

This suit - is it too formal for business meetings?

It's got thin black trim on the lapel edges, jetted pockets with the same trim, and fabric buttons covered with the same material as the jacket. Cuffs have a single button also covered with suit jacket material.

I know it's obviously unconventional, but is it something that could be worn in meetings, or would everyone think I was wearing a DJ?

It’s not something I’d wear in a business setting. You’d be standing out and not for the right reasons.

I don't usually wear suits with trim on the lapels and pockets, but I really don't think that it would raise any eye brows if you did wear it to a business meeting.

The satin trimmed lapels and pockets, and satin covered buttons all suggest that it is an evening suit for events and functions. You don't wear it to a business meeting.

Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.
