Is bespoke worth it, judging by the examples posted on SF?

If Felix Unger's wardrobe is the backbone of Style Forum,
we're in need a chiropractor.
maybe even an orthopedic surgeon.

If you find the right tailor, there is nothing like it. Same goes with whatever else you have made to order (not MTO).

great thread. im interested to know at what point you guys first got bespoke suits? was it only after you easily had the means, and then started to think about it? had wanted to go bespoke for a while before you could?

while i don't know from experience, a few posts suggest that satisfaction from acquiring more than a couple of bespoke items has a bit to do with expectation management, ie being prepared for things to go wrong the first time(s), then it gets good. as tastes and understanding develop you get more out of it.

are those voting bespoke not worth it people who have given up on it after a bad start/experience? maybe worked for it $ wise, built it up, then been (perhaps inevitably outside the best tailors) let down on the first and second go?

Depends on who you are and what you believe to be affordable.
