I am currently wearing a pair of chelsea boots, not really liking them.

The snow ain't bad here, mainly want another pair of boots for looks.

This thread is hysterical.

Oh, and I agree with Ed.

ok, i have narrowed it down to a pair of chukkas, but i am doubtful cause these look kinda rugged, much too powerful for me.

also considering a pair of NST alden boots, but i have the same issue as above.

i was also considering a pair of RM williams chelsea boots, i think i will like them

can any of the above 3 boots be worn in the winter in Toronto for everyday?

I agree with OP, those LL Bean boots are most hideous boots I have ever seen—the worst trend in shoes aside from hybrid shoes! They make you look like a pig trying to get it's hoof into a stiletto! Gyurgh! If your issue is with snow, what about these?

I think they look better in suede, imo (but then they would scuff, so why bother?!). Could do with different laces, too (maybe, I'm being finicky)?!

Or these? Although, they look a little rubbery/cheap? At least, they have that inner lining—good for snow?
