ironing pants while wet

simple question: do i risk shrinkage if i iron my jeans while they are damp?

I can't say I've tried this but I would think that yes, the direct heat from the iron combined with the jeans being wet would cause shrinkage. I'm not sure how significant it would be though, that's probably going to depend on how wet the pants are, how hot the iron is, etc.

I do this with khaki's and have never had any shrinkage. If anything they seem to stretch.

the hell you ironing your jeans for? are they raw/shrink to fit?

Forget shrinkage. You risk scalding and ,burns of the 3rd degree.

maybe not shrinkage, but you will get a nice faded crease line running down your pant legs if you keep up the ironing (yes, i have seen this).

PS, you dont need to iron jeans, unless maybe you are letting them dry in a rolled up ball.
