Ok, I have been looking at various pictures of suits as I will be purchasing one in the coming weeks. I came across these pictures of Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses) in this suit:

Unfortunately, you cannot zoom into any of the pictures.

What I need your collective help with is:
- what kind of material is it?
- what colour would you classify it as?
- any other stylistic elements you can ascertain!

Your help is much appreciated!

Yep. It's a 2B SB notch lapel grey sharkskin that, judging by the pant and jacket cuffs, hasn't been altered to fit him.

Can't say about the vents.

I concur with the previous posts- grey sharkskin. But the fit is very poor. Looks like he borrowed it from someone else.

Thanks for your help everyone!

The reason I like this suit so much is that, for one, Axl is one of my heroes. Furthermore, I just like the combination of the "shimmery" grey suit and the black shirt and tie.

Hero? Please tell me what you really mean is that you're a musician and you admire his chops or style or whatever . . .

Sharkskin suits are cool but please, for the love of God, don't wear a black shirt and a black tie. Also, if you get a suit like that, make sure the thing actually fits.

Horrid: Tie is one and a half button too short sleeves and pants are two inches too long. Not to mention how shiny it is. It's not even a subtle sheen it's ala Rod Roddy

I never knew what the material was actually called. I always just refer to it as Teflon. Unless matched with perfect accessories (and I'm not sure they exist) a person in a shiny suit looks like a pimp.

A lot of the star's are going to the Kevlar suiting. This looks like the Kevlar Couture. High end, comparable to Zegna Couture, but much more expensive, and offers better stain(and knife and bullet) protection!

Color is Gun-Metal Gray.

Also Fire-marsupialant, and never needs dry cleaning!

Well, at least, Eric Clapton who is my age, tries to dress well and seemed to know how to wear a suit!
