Hello,

I've been lurking for a bit now and can't really seem to find a good answer on this. Lately, I've been looking out for bespoken opera pumps (I plan on going with the flat bow); I'd also like to get a pair of Oxford's bespoken as well.

Any recommendations? I live in the U.S., in Texas if that matters. I can begrudgingly travel, if need be, however.

Get your English right first - you want to bespeak a pair of opera pumps.

Sigh. I made an error.

It's early in the morning. Give me a break and suggest something useful, else drop the cattiness and save it.

The best place for this would undoubtedly be John Lobb of St James's Street, London. I can't imagine Texas would have a specialist for this sort of thing. If you know a good bespoke shoemaker in the area, you would be best off convincing him/her to make a pair for you. After all, they are just heeled loafers made of patent leather (plus a little ribbon or buckle).
