Here we go. I love these. Don't like the color. But I absolutely love the shape. Crockett and Jones has a couple that I like too. What else is out there? These are Cole Haan btw.

That's just a classic cap toe. The shape looks okay but still edgy. Cole Haan leather is not that great. Would rather get AE PA @ Nordstrom anniversary sale.

John Lobb, Edword Green, Gaziano & Girling and Berluti if you are swimming in money. Or go bespoke.

Alden and Allen Edmonds for high quality American made shoes in friendly prices.

Stefanobi, Santoni or Gravati for Italian made.

Try Zappos. John Varvatos on sale. Try also the Florsheim Kenmoor. It's a wingtip but 1,000 times a better shoe that what you are considering buying. ..Try also Allen Edmonds factory seconds..factory new shoes with a slight blemish or three, but that won't affect the quality or wearability.

The closest I'd come to wearing shoes like those Lacoste would be something like these NDC:

or these:

and the more I stare at those Hettas (the first pair), the less I like them, but the Ricos are just :slayer:

ETA: no comment on the boots

Why do these point skywards - did they belong to a clown or jester but have had the bell which would be attached removed?

come on man. Did you really look at the shoe in his first post and then suggest the gunboat kenmoor? I don't think that could be further from what he is looking for.

This is the same disconnect I so usually see when other pieces of clothing get brought up. Guy wants something nice, sets a price range. Styleforum responds with "Just get Kiton RTW, or go full bespoke."

Dutchtiger explicitly requested shoes under 200 bucks. I could see pushing 250, 300, or making suggestions like Man of Lint has done. But $1,100 dollar shoes? This is akin to someone asking "Should I get a Subaru or a Toyota sedan?" and responding with, "Just get an Aston Martin."** It is not as helpful as it might seem.

I support Man of Lint's earlier suggestions.

**This happens too, yes.
