I need a jacket, bad. rec's please?

I've searched and searched for that one staple jacket thats flattering on my body type, versatile and goes well w/ skinny(er) jeans. so far, i've come up empty

i gave the EG bedford a shot, but its a lil too long for me (i'm 5'8) and it just doesnt look quite right when i wear some thin finns or the like.

i'd like something versatile, perhaps more on the cas side as i wear a lot of plaids/workshirts, etc.

any suggestions would be great. price range is 400ish and below. Thanks

One highly underrated, not particularly well known brand, is European Culture. It used to be available at AB Fits in SF (the original one, before the "expansion&quot and also at Alan Bilzerian, but I think that you are stuck with YOOX these days if you want their stuff. The materials are nice, and the construction is typically very solid. They would probably best be described as the Italian W+H (not Wings&Horns, or Wings+Horns,) and like W+H, they like to do lots of stuff with fleece. The cuts are usually quite slim and short, and the price is right, especially on YOOX. Check it out. Not sure if the stuff will go with plaid shirts, but it will definitely go with skinny jeans.
