Just bought a softside waterbed. Although I realized I'll be spending less than four hours a day on it, still it's a worthwhile investment.

However, if you get a "punch through" (when the laser gun gets a reading on the car) with a Laser Interceptor, something is wrong. Installed properly, it's literally close to 100% protection against every single laser gun out there. Plus, as I complete package I feel it's a bit more polished than the Blinder offerings (parking sensor switch, great computer software, incredible customer service from Cliff, etc). The Laser Interceptor uses true laser diodes to fire back, while Blinder uses LED's - you just can't duty cycle LED's fast enough or with enough power to compete with laser diodes. Of course, as I said that is reflected in the cost difference between them.

I hang out at radadetector.net and there are a lot of guys there that own laser guns and do testing. I've even rented a couple of laser guns to test my setup personally (wanted to be sure I had no weak spots before I did some 12 hour trips). I've actually had a Laser Interceptor for a little over two years - that one in the picture above is an upgrade to the latest and greatest (I had a first generation unit that didn't have the user upgradeable firmware).

Here's some pics of an install I did on my father's car for him about a few months back:

What is the point of this? Shouldn't you be NOT breaking the law by speeding? Exactly who are you trying to get back at by installing this toy, the police officer who stopped you because he was just doing his job just in case you kill someone because you were acting like a little boy by driving over the speed limit and thinking you are so cool?

May not be the best but there is by far much worse coffee out there. For the price I can't complain.

I'm not sure how it works in your neck of the woods (literally, seeing as how you're Canadian), but around here traffic flow is generally 15-20mph over the posted speed limit, which is kept artificially low for revenue generation. Don't believe me? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NA3sc...layer_embedded Countless scientific studies have shown that driving at the 85th percentile speed is safest, so you're the one who's causing far more risks than I am by being that one jackass who actually drives 55mph that people have to suddenly swerve to get around. I bet you drive in the left lane all the time too. Aside from the logical reasons, owning laser jammers and radar detectors gives me the wonderful satisfaction of irritating people like you. Honestly, that alone is worth the expense.
