I've actually had a Laser Interceptor for a little over two years - that one in the picture above is an upgrade to the latest and greatest (I had a first generation unit that didn't have the user upgradeable firmware).

What is the point of this? Shouldn't you be NOT breaking the law by speeding? Exactly who are you trying to get back at by installing this toy, the police officer who stopped you because he was just doing his job just in case you kill someone because you were acting like a little boy by driving over the speed limit and thinking you are so cool?

I'm not sure how it works in your neck of the woods (literally, seeing as how you're Canadian), but around here traffic flow is generally 15-20mph over the posted speed limit, which is kept artificially low for revenue generation. I bet you drive in the left lane all the time too. Aside from the logical reasons, owning laser jammers and radar detectors gives me the wonderful satisfaction of irritating people like you. Honestly, that alone is worth the expense.
