how to reduce shine of waxed jeans?

hey i have a pair of overly waxed jeans and they are so shiny they look like leather. was wondering if any one knows of a sure way to reduce the shine of the denim without harming the fabric of the jean? thanks

don't think he'll like it there, with his shiny waxed jeans.

in any case, a couple of washes will do the trick.

yeah just wash them. They will probably never shine again after washing though

why did you buy waxed denim if you don't like the leather shine?

Perhaps, if you want to avoid washing for now, just running some sandpaper lightly over them a few times would reduce the shine?
