I'm a software engineer so I'm at a computer about 12 hours a day.

I don't wear glasses but my eyes get kinda strained. Is there anything I can do to help this?

Frequent breaks (just get up and walk around, go get a drink of water/go to the bathroom) or get promoted past the code monkey phase of your career.

Ya, I meant something more like eye drops or something that may sooth them out.

I can't speak for their effectiveness, personally, but these are highly regarded in the gaming world and might do the trick.

Quality seems to be decent, and they shouldn't be too difficult to find in a store.

20-20-20 rule, for every 20 minutes staring at the screen, focus on random objects for 20 seconds at least 20 feet away.

adjust your screens briteness, focus, colour saturation etc

and dont have too high a resolution un-needfully.

Just remember screens dont damage/strain eyes, you do.

I have been a programmer since 1974 and have never had eye strain yet.
