How do you make this gray/light brown tie work?

I just got this new tie and thought it looked interesting, but how would you make it work?

I thought it might look interesting with a cream or white shirt, brown shoes, and the SF Aquascutum square.

Cream shirt would be nice, as you said. I would wear that tie with a light pink shirt, and a light grey suit with a burgundy square.

I find grey is the worst color for a tie because it's so difficult to coordinate. Except for the solid and tweedy wool/cashmere ones, I got rid of the few grey ties I had because I never wore them.

You could wear that one with a dark tan, brown or even olive suit but that's about it imo (you could do navy but I don't think it would look right and would look too matchy with a grey suit.). Pink, cream or light blue for the shirt is fine.

stuff it in your pocket as a pocket square. it is not a very usable tie for the reason that EL said.

I am very fond of Bulgari ties and I almost bought your tie when I saw it on sale at Filene's Basement a few months ago, but I passed on it because I could not think of how it would work with my wardrobe. The tie is beautiful, but the tone is a little muted. What might work for this tie is to pair it with medium tan trousers, light blue shirt, and a dark charcoal or black blazer.
