textured leather / suede is different from the gunmetal leather though right?
what's it priced at?
competes with CCP leathers?

Blue ostrich leather cardholder with a built in clip in the back from a super high end brand (Hermes, April in Paris, etc).

Kinda of a weird question but here goes... ive never really been a fan of MMM's riders jackets. I always thought they were just too boring... and that the leather wasn't great (even on line 14 riders). There was nothing special that would make me purchase a MMM riders over say a Rick Owens leather (heh dont think about the different price points for now). That being said...i tried on the dove grey SS09 MMM riders jacket just for fun this past weekend and i fell in love. the leather was subtly distressed and it seemed like it was object-dyed due to the unevenness of the grey dye... if only the damn piece wasn't $2475. Now for my questions: 1. Should I purchase it now at full price or should I wait for it to go on sale? Would the chance of it going on sale be pretty slim– given its a classic piece? Im really hoping the ****** economy means it'll still be there come sales time... but not sure if I can wait that long! haha

2. Does anyone have some mad hookups (SAs, fam or friends) that can help me get it for less than retail?

It just reinforces how pointless and clusterfucked this thread is.

Haha nah wasn't selling m.a+ jacket to make room for MMM leather.. Just don't wear it enough to justify keepng it. The Margiela riders jacket is defnitely not a Holy Grail..just decided to chime in because of all the previous talk about it. If we're listing holy grails mine would undoubtably be certain cloak pieces... - cotton hussar jacket fw05 size M - flight parka fw04 size M - fw04 toggle knit cardigan size S - Cloak oxfords (sz 41) Oh and CCP wraparound boots

I get a discount off of wholesale prices. It works out to 75 percent off retail or something like that. But unfortunately i cannot hook other people up or I would

If youre going to institute rules for holy grails then I suggest propose one as well for the recent purchases thread: No more peasant status guilte groupe buys

Fair enough, but you can buy it for yourself and then sell to me?

Some new grail list items.

-Augusta Oiled Cordovan High Boots (Boot version of SoCal's destroyed shoes)
-Augusta Thermic Cordovan High Lace Up Boots (Like the W+H work boots but better)
-Augusta Cordovan High Lace Up Boots (White)

All From Atelier.

Are or those too peasant status?

If I want to go full on grail status, as in so rare it probably doesn't even exist, a full head to toe Post Apocalyptic Steam Punk styled outfit. Think what GothNinja is to Gothic Lolita and you're might get an idea.
