Consignment.

If you want to avail us to some Filene's quality discount stores though, feel free.

There ain't that much juice in DC, at least as far as I can tell. Feels like there should be, but I haven't found it.

There are a few old threads on this where kabert shared some of his finds.

In my experience, the thrifting scene in DC is bad. The problem is that most men do not recycle clothing the way women do, resulting in thrift store clothing being several decades out of date rather than several years. (Think wide lapels, super low gorges and buttoning points.) Combine that with the generally poor style sense of most DC-area men, and your deals are few and far between. Here is a review of a few stores I wrote a while back:

Since then, Act II has gone out of business and Second Chance has moved to 4920 Fairmont, with a much smaller men's selection.

Inga's Once Is Not Enough may be worth checking out:

Ironically, I've been to Inga's Once is Not Enough and the men's selection sucked.
