I was in Florence two years a go around new years and found a pair of the most amazing Italian Leather Shoes I have ever owened in my life. I bought them in some leather shop in the piazza santa croce. I have since warn them through.

I am looking to buy a new pair from this shoe maker but I am having trouble finding out how to get a hold of the maker.
The shoes are all leather. On the inside it says "Il Calzolaio". The box it came in was white and only said "Il Calzolaio".
I know they don't look like much now but when they were new they looked amazing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I am having the same problem!
I came back from a trip to Italy, bought 2 pairs at a discount (40 and 60 Euros)
I love the shoes and thought I can locate the maker using google. Calzolaio just means "shoe maker"... (at least they are not lying to their clients about what they do for a living!!)

now: it is impossible for me to find any information about this brand...

If anybody has info, I hope it will be shared! :)

Tks!

If they are good quality, why not just have them recrafted? Many people have had good luck with B. Nelson (B. Nelson Shoe Repair)
