True, but I am too white for girls who prefer asians (usually they are fobby) lol. For whitewashed asians like me, the girls usually end up preferring white guys.

sounds like something I used to see a lot when I was in NYC..., I went to the States when I was 15, end up in a boarding school, so half fobby half whitewashed, so far that has played out pretty well I suppose... I somewhat just change between different group without even recognizing it... not sure if that's good or bad.

I was quite surprised in southeast asia to see so many hot girls with overweight/generally nerdy guys... I assume because the guy was rich or whatever. If I was an asian in north america having trouble getting tail, I'd just go back to the homeland... it's gotta be easier over there?

I have two friends who were close enough to me to confide about how much they hated their Asian-ness. Both of them had parents who were immigrants, and they were both natural born Americans. They didn't want to be white, so much as they just wanted to be "normal." They didn't know each other; one was female, one was male, one was a Republican, one was a Democrat.

They purposefully avoided any sort of Asian-culture related groups on campus, dressed sort of preppy, considered changing their last names to Anglo names, almost exclusively hung out with whites, etc.

I knew two Asian girls like this. One was adopted by a rural white family so it's somewhat understandable and her racial uneasiness was mild. The other though had an Asian family and constantly degraded her own race. She told me in a state of drunkeness that she used to not want to have kids since they'd be Asian and unattractive but since seeing me (I'm half), she thought she could have them with a white guy and possibly be okay.

Wow, what a bunch of fucked up stories. Ironically, despite being half black and half white I've never had any issues with disliking either side of my heritage. If anyone should have issues it's me but I don't. Probably because my parents have a healthy marriage and I'm close with both sides of my family.
