Good LA shoemaker?

I need someone to perform some really simple shoe maintenance. I have a number of pairs that are just sort of scuffed, or have gotten some small stains, and would love them to be polished up again like new. Seeing as they are all various shades of brown, and I am terrible when it comes to polishing shoes, I thought I would just take them to somewhere with a reputation for good work. The damage ranges from scuff marks to water spots. Any suggestions appreciated.

Any decent cobbler should be good for that, or even a shoeshine "professional." In the central LA area, I used with good satisfaction a shop on 6th St. just west of Western Avenue run by an Armenian man who later passed the business on to his son. I haven't spent any amount of time in that area for the past 8 years, but if he's still in business there and it's geographically convenient, he could probably do the job well.

There also a guy on the west side of Cahuenga, on a corner one or two blocks north of Melrose. They actually make shoes there for movies - you can see dozens (hundreds?) of lasts in the workroom. They do good quality repairs and resoling there and I'm sure they could handle your maintenance.

There is a Neapolitan couple who owns and runs Pasquale Shoe Repair on San Vicente Blvd. They're a little above average in price, but do a good job. Check them out. They are on San Vicente and Hauser Blvd.

The only place I trust is Arturo's on little Santa Monica Blvd. in Beverly Hills. I have been using them for many years. They never make mistakes. They are not cheap and their prices keep going up (why doesn't my salary keep going up?) but I hate even thinking about someone screwing up my shoes.
