Hello, I need your help please SF members. What are some good suits brands cut with waist 8-10" small than chest? I am 41" chest and need 33" or small waist. I must start wearing a suit to new work very soon, and I have not save enough for the only local bespoke lady, who need $1800, and will not be finish for 8 week.

Is there any good half-canvas European cut that I buy off internet and get my tailor to make adjustment? I must look good for important clients and think probably need several suit, so I can spend up to $900 per suit of possible. I have been in shop, but everything 42" have 36" waist, tailor say too much to take in.

I already get shirt made off internet but I use measurement of shirt I have, I do not trust online MTM until I have decent suit to compare, and if it take 6 weeks, too long anyway.

Thank you kind people.

Are their size charts correct? The "upper waist" in his size comes out as 37.8", that can't be right, can it?

May be a typo. Being in Europe, I can only view the measurements in centimeters, but assuming that he's a continental size 52 (roughly a US size 42), the "upper waist" is 104 cm, which translates to about 40.95".

Some Isaia has drop 8. I forget which line.
You can find them online under 1k. If you are already in NYC, you can try them on at Barney's, Sak's and elsewhere.
Also, certain brands will put you in a smaller jacket(say 40 v 42) and then the drop becomes more doable.

The answer to this might actually be "no." Not saying there are none, just saying you aren't going to find that many OTR suits with this kind of fitting. I would just grab a drop-7 suit and then get the waist taken in and the legs slimmed.
