I'm looking at a vintage Gloverall Duffle Coat that's 55% wool and 45% nylon, not the usual 80/20 I've seen before.

Anyone seen these before? Had any experience with them? What do you think?

Welcome to Styleforum.
Photos would have helped. Does it have a 'Dolomite' label on it? Not to worry anyway. It will be 100% warm in winter down to, say, -15 Celsius. If the nap is not worn out and is in otherwise good condition and you like it, then buy it.

Doesn't say Dolomite on it. I was just curious because I hadn't heard of a 55/45 fabric on a Gloverall Duffle before. Maybe there was some era in the past when they made them like this and then they switched to 80/20 or maybe this is just a different model for which they used that blend.

They've made a number of different models from 100% wool (the best) to the 80/20 variety. The 55/45 is a cheap model and was perhaps made for the navy or something. And btw, Gloverall does not make the best duffel style coats. You'll notice that the fasteners are wood (navy stuff)
