Do any of these hosting sites truly allow you to delete your images? I prefer one you don't have to pay for, for non-monetary reasons.

What do you mean? Some will drop off eventually I think, but others like Photobucket you get full control over your account and images (they're also free, and generate the IMG vBulletin code for you for each image).
