I kinda regret not grabbing that cardigan, though I think I might prefer a medium. I hope you get more of these, or some new styles.
That's awesome! I would use that as an excuse to visit the islands frequently, as I don't think there's anywhere else on earth like them. Unfortunately I probably won't be able to make my next visit until 2009 or soI'd just like to chime in regarding Inis Meain sweaters in general. My wife's parents both come from Inis Meain. It's a beautiful place, and my understanding is that the Aran Islands are actually one of the only places (if not the only) where Gaelic continues to be spoken (though most people on the islands also speak English).
I've visited the island once and of course stopped by the sweater factory. They really make a terrific product. I believe my wife is actually distantly related to the owner of the factory, though she has so many relatives, I could be remembering this incorrectly. It's a surprising place to find such a luxury product, but the sweaters really are unique and well made.
If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Arans, I strongly recommend it. It really is a beautiful place.
