Also, I forgot to mention it earlier but I was checking over the receipt for all of the sweaters and saw that there were total savings of just over $2000 made on the purchase based on the original retail prices

The first batch of sweaters were just sent out this morning guys!

The large crewneck and large cardigan are still available.

A couple more shots were added for the weekend crowd in the original post.

I hope everyone who has already received their sweaters are enjoying them! They really are unique pieces that should last you for many years to come.

I received my zip cardigan today. It truly is an artisan piece -- and very soft, like a favorite blanket. I could easily fall asleep in it! Thanks, Robin.

I'm happy to know that you're enjoying your sweater. I'm going to try and track down more later in the season as I want another one or two for myself.

The large cardigan is currently on hold pending payment, but the large crewneck is still available and will still be up until this weekend if anyone is sitting on the fence. After that it will probably end up being a gift for my father.

I kinda regret not grabbing that cardigan, though I think I might prefer a medium. I hope you get more of these, or some new styles.

Robin never disappoints. He is an excellent seller and never fails to offer awesome items. I received my breathtaking zip-up cardigan last week. He is the type of person who makes this community truly special. Thanks again, Robin.

I'd just like to chime in regarding Inis Meain sweaters in general. My wife's parents both come from Inis Meain. It's a beautiful place, and my understanding is that the Aran Islands are actually one of the only places (if not the only) where Gaelic continues to be spoken (though most people on the islands also speak English).

I've visited the island once and of course stopped by the sweater factory. They really make a terrific product. I believe my wife is actually distantly related to the owner of the factory, though she has so many relatives, I could be remembering this incorrectly. It's a surprising place to find such a luxury product, but the sweaters really are unique and well made.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Arans, I strongly recommend it. It really is a beautiful place.

The Medium cardigan is spot on for a 40 / slim 42.

That's awesome! I would use that as an excuse to visit the islands frequently, as I don't think there's anywhere else on earth like them. Unfortunately I probably won't be able to make my next visit until 2009 or so

Just to update everyone who has been inquiring, the good news is that I am working on sourcing more of their sweaters, but the bad news is that I'm not sure if I'll be able to get any more wool sweaters by the end of F/W. Most likely I will be able to get some linen sweaters in time for S/S 08, and then more wool sweaters in time for F/W 08. I'll keep everyone posted.
