Hello -
My introduction to Alden was, like many others, the Indy boot.
But then I found the Alden thread here. And then I saw the beauty of shell cordovan and the patina it develops. And then I understood why #8 is king.
And then I bought my #8 captoe boots on the Grant last with Commando soles. A fantastic fall/winter/spring boot.
But I managed two (maaaybe three... I remember two) wears of these and they deserve a better home. I'm fairly unique in that I think I prefer non-shell shoes and boots for my lifestyle and these don't get enough wears as they should.
Style: 4060 with Commando sole
Size: 12.5D
Last: Grant
Retail was $690 + shipping/tax, I believe.
I will ship with original green Alden box and shoe bags. Shoe trees not included.
