Finally time for another round of Friday Challenge!

This time the challenge is themed "Like Fine Wine" so let's see your best burgundy/maroon ensembles! Just like the last challenge, the rules will be similiar:

The Rules: Burgundy/Maroon/Merlot - (3) Fit Entries, (Formal, Business, or Casual). Full Suit, Sportcoat, Trousers, or even Accessory if it's the dominant color for your fit.

The poll goes up Saturday, August 28th, where each member will be able to cast five (5) votes!

The winner of the challenge must organize the next challenge. If you win and are not able to you must find someone else to set up the next challenge—usually the 2nd or 3rd place winners will step in.

One of my favorite colors. I’ll be traveling so won’t be able to participate. Thanks for setting this up.

Damn, I just got my Spier & Mackay burgundy velvet dinner jacket. Problem is I still need to get it tailored, buy pants and accessories and a proper pair of shoes for it. Do this in November, and I'll be all over it.

What about aubergine?

"Is aubergine same as Burgundy?

There is a little bit of a difference among these colours. Burgundy seems to be a mix of brown and red. Aubergine is a similar shade but it has more of a purple to it (something like plum or eggplant)."

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
