The trousers are uncuffed and have a fish tail back, a 5 button button-up fly and have black braces buttons marked "Stimson Eton & Hanover Sq.W." in perfect condition. The trousers are unlined.

Does anyone know anything about Stimson and the garments that they made? Is it not unusual to have braces buttons on the outside of trousers?

Some of the resident experts like Baron Kurz over at the Fedora Lounge could tell you quick smart.

My Great great grandfather is/was William Adolph Stimson, and that suit if made in 1930 would have been made by his son, my G Grandfather Douglas Stimson (later colonel stimson), who took over the business in the late twenties. I truly cannot believe that a suit made by them still exists, absolutely fantastic! If there was anyway you could send some photos that would be really appreciated, labels etc.

Unbelievable!
