1. Bernie doesn't run the FIA so he has no say on the car rules. He simply focuses on the commercial side of the sport (TV deals, track negotiations, etc.)
2. Don't like the noses but there have been plenty of ugly f1 cars before (the BMW from 2008? is a good example, look at some from the late 70s). UNfortunately it's down to regulations not technical advancements/innovations
3. The Williams looks incredible between the rear wing and engine. Very tidy

Aesthetically, it's ugly but it's actually quite attractive when you consider its looks were primarily down to functionality not due to safety regulations.

For some reason the "Platypus" nose, as they are calling it, doesn't bother me too much. The Williams in particular looks like a Transformer. They just finished their second day of testing at Jerez.

This season's F1 cars are the ugliest in living memory. F1 is becominy safety obsessed at the cost of everything else. I'm not saying they shouldn't have stringent safety rules, but this?

How long have you been following f1? There have been many ugly cars even since the 80s. Apart from the tip of the nose, these cars look great.

At least they aren't installing safety cages. Pretty soon the cars will look like NASCAR or DTM.

Still, they look much better than the new Indy body styles. Yuck.

Been following F1 since I was a kid in the '80s. Yeah, there have been some cars that are easier on the eye that others over the years, but the whole 'broken nose' look of this year's cars ruins them completely for me.

I sincerely hope that never happens. It would be a nail in the coffin for open wheel/open cockpit racing.
