I have a new article up on Gotham Canoe about fishing in Patagonia.

Nice lefty! Did you just get back? I like that method of fly extraction: loop some heavy tippet around the bend, push down on the eye, and then tell them 'on three' - yank after 'two' - it works!

About 10 years ago we flew down to Esquel (two 'cities'' south of SCdB) and then drove for a couple of hours down to Tecka for a memorable 5 days

Thanks.

That was two years ago. I'm just putting together a series of articles for Gotham Canoe and a few other publications.

Next up - Tulum for bonefish and how quickly you can make it from LaGuardia to your apt and back again when you discover at check-in that you left your fly rod in the foyer of your place. (26 minutes.)

Sounds stressful, but that's pretty good time! Better than the feeling you get when you realize your Winston 4 weight is still in the cab that dropped you off 10 minutes earlier :fu:

Yeah. I’ve also driven away from a river with my rod laying on the roof.

Thank God for those lifetime warranties.

Hmmm... no one liked the Iceland article? Okay, try this.

I reached out to an artist in the Catskills whose work I've admired for sometime and he was kind enough to write an article on how he paints a Brook trout.
