Why not just put a hardware nut on a thin leather/plastic/rubber band?

What do ppl on this forum think of necklaces in general? I was going to look for one last year, but decided they were cheesy. Then again, I kind of look good in one.

This is my thought in general. Not sure about everyone else. I'm not a fan of jewlery at all.

I think jewelry is fine as long as the more visible stuff has meaning behind it. For instance I wear a small bracelet because I feel they're becoming more commonplace, but I'd only wear a ring or necklace if it was given to me by a special someone, etc.

This is Kris Van Assche, I believe. I remember seeing it in GQ or Details around the time his first solo collection dropped.

I think it's kind of ridiculous in general, but esp. at a designer's price. (Actually, I don't care much for KvA's designs in general...)

Go to your jeweler, show him the picture and he can make it. My jeweler can make just about anything I show him or make slight variations. I dont know how much you want to spend, but if you want it in Platinum or white gold, he might want to do it for you.

most hardware stores have sell the chain material used for chain-pulls on desk lamps. Buy a bolt, a bottle opener, charm etc... and you have a decent looking necklace for 5-10 bucks tops. Jewelry is something I personally am opposed to as it serves no function for me. I will wear a wedding band once I am married to show I am taken. But piercings/necklaces/cuff links/$$$ watches are all a bit pea-cocky too me. I suppose the same could be said of sunglasses, I guess they just happen to be something 'pea-cocky' I am comfortable with.

A nut. on a rope. This, my friends, is the pinnacle of design.
