Engineered Garment for FW23, Daiki Suzuki returns to his roots of his plunge into American workwear. His earliest inspiration evolved from iconic editions of outdoor sporting publications. In his early youth, he became interested in nature and became very interested in outdoor clothing and equipment. He and I were following the same path as I spent countless days in the outdoor world and at one point, was a salesman of the finest apparel and equipment available at that time. When we first met in 1985, he had been sent to the US to source product for the store he worked at in Japan. Such brands as Woolrich, Johnsons, Faribault and the like.
In this new collection, Daiki pays homage to those brands and presents one of the strongest collections to my recall. "Revisiting our origins that still have their own unique place today."
