I just did a search and found nothing conclusive as to the best way to polish/protect my new shoes. I wonder if anyone has any more recent input in this regard?
Basically, I just want to put an initial protective coating on the shoes; will meltonian neutral creme do the job (I have some)? Is there a wax that is recommended to preserve and enhance the inherent color of E.G. chestnut? I do not care about super high shine, and would like to avoid any heavy build or flaking. I will not wear them very often, so excessive applications will not be an issue.
