Got some tins of Burgol vax, equivalent to pate de luxe. Issue is it's super dry, so when I run my finger or a cloth it just breaks apart and clumps up. I bought them all at the same time, oddly enough one of them is still buttery smooth and very soft whereas the other ones are hockey pucks.

Tried melting it to see if the consistency is different but to no avail. Tried melting it again but adding a bunch of saphir vax softener spray, thinking that surely this will substitute the evaporated solvents, but nah no such luck.

I can keep spraying the saphir vax softener on top which will soften the very top layer, but feels like I mainly get solvent on my finger and very little vax.

Any suggestions?
