I am looking for a good place online to buy a dress shoe, my only requirement is that it be black. I would like to keep it below 100.

Are there sites like overstock that have a better selection and better sizing?

TIA

If you looked around you could probably find a pair of Bostonians or something in that price range.

The trouble is they will be ripe for the garbage bin in 6 - 9 months time. Then you will need a new pair. You could end up spending $200 over a year.

If you had brought yourself a pair of Allen Edmonds Park Avenues for $300 they will last you up to 10 years. That's $30/year instead of $200.

I will only be wearing them once a week. The problem is I am on a college student budget.

Try Sierra Trading Post, although their inventory comes and goes.

I have three pairs of rubber-soled Moscolonis that I paid about $30 each for from STP. At that price, they're a reasonable shoe. Surprisingly nice, albeit not really "dressy," leather.

I actually don't mind those, but they are not really dress shoes. I regularly wear shoes with suits that most people on this forum would consider too casual but I would only wear the ones you linked to with casual clothes. Try something with laces and no texture if you want more of a dress shoe.

If you are going to invest $100 in a pair of shoes then find a local store and go try them on to make sure you have the right size and fit. Once you own a pair that you like then you can add to your shoe collection, if you need to, by ordering the same make and model online in different colors. But teh first pair you should buy in person.

I think these 2 shoes give really good value in a traditional shoe for a first dress shoe and they are available at JC Penny for under $80.
