Girlfriend is out of town and I've been travelling the past two weekends...I just want to relax by myself, chill out and cook something. It has to be relatively easy to prepare make for one, since I am not home for dinner during the week to eat any leftovers (i.e. no 4lb rib roast and nothing that requires me to buy/prepare in bulk since any extra veggies will get tossed as well). At the same time, it needs to be involved enough to be satisfying. Meat/poultry/pork is favored -- beef, lamb, veal, chicken, sausages, etc...
I know some of you are very good home chefs and your input is appreciated.
Basics I have here are a decent spice cabinet, some chicken stock, extra virgin olive oil, butter, salt, pepper, flour, rice...and that's about it.
