Dark brown suede double monk strap wingtip style tips?

These shoes are very dark brown/chocolate brown they look great with navy and grey suits but i want to wear these more casually so what should i pair them with? Sock or no socks? Wearing them with shorts? I know they are versatile but i don't know how versatile? What colors should i try to pair them with? thanks
