Cufflink Appreciation Thread

Dear Gents,

I was reading Glenn O'Brien's book, the guide to style and behaviour for the modern gentleman.

One particular point he made "A gentleman's jewelry is his cufflinks and his watch". Whether you agree with this or not, I noticed that there are very few threads on styleforum dedicated to cufflinks. So I hope this thread can start to fill this gap, for what I believe to be an important accent to a gentleman's attire.

I hope that there are recommendations on accessible pieces, in terms of price, and well designed / functional for both work and leisure.

My personal two favorite cuff links at the moment are:

The T&A ones the bar could do with being a few mm shorter but I like the mother of pearl button and couldnt find anything similar elsewhere.

Most the time paired with my daily watch:

Would love to get the black faced version but its no longer available and JLC wont sell me a black face to switch it over.

Key requisites of a good pair of cufflinks for work and leisure:

1. They should have decoration on both sides of the link, standard.
2. Link should not be too long to avoid clinking on the desk or leaving a large gap between the cuffs. Why buy bespoke shirts if the cufflinks don't complement?
3. Face not oversized, max approx. 1cm in diameter, in my opinion.
4. Versatile, smart, low profile and always appropriate for work
5. No branding or logo
6. Accessible in price and value for money (my preference, under US$200)
If anyone has any fresh recommendations matching the above, please share!

My modest collection. I rarely wear cufflinks. Maybe once a week at most.
The top two are rare 15KT Gold. The one on the bottom right are very old Kings College.
The one on the bottom left are allegedly from the 1920s.
I also wear vintage Swank, Hickok, political, and novelty cufflinks that I get off eBay for <$10. I wear them a few times and then sell them on the B&S. You can only wear dachshund, pumpkins, Santa, Lakers, R2D2,... Cufflinks a few times.

So how do you gents store or organise your cufflinks?

At the moment I just have them in a nice wooden box (without dividers), but seem to spend longer each time trying to find a matching pair. So far i havent found anything else suitable.

I have mine in an old cigar box that I picked up form a flea market.
