1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I know this thread is specifically for RL cordovan, but it seems to be the only really active ralph lauren shoe thread. as such, can someone let me know who makes the RL Gavrie double monk (they are made in Italy and retail for $650). Also, how do the sizes run? If I am a 9D in most AE lasts, would it be the same for RL?
    Thanks in advance!

I forgot the name (it's not Lattanzi) but I think it's another Italian company that's mainly known for making women's shoes (that's what I read somewhere on the forum).

Silvano Sassetti does (or at least used to do) quite a lot of work for Ralph Lauren.

The name mentioned previously wasn't Sassetti. Might have to dig around the forum.

    Those PTBs look good.

I detest how bad certain shoes appear in their sale listing. Yours look much better now. Cordovan shoes that are used and creased often simply need some TLC. These were a good pickup. Well done.

Embrace the subtle colour variations of shell! Your PTB's look good.

Thanks. Looking forward to it. Funny as most of my shell shoes get discolored on the right shoe first. Maybe it has something with me being on the right coast.

Just found these at a local thrift store. 99% sure they are shell Marlows but can anyone confirm?

They are brand new, with some shop wear, making it a little hard to tell if they are shell or calf. Also, I almost always wear shell or suede shoes so I'm not the best person to judge new calf!

    Thanks
