I now own two of these suckers. I love the construction and the quality seems to be top notch. You can also get killer deals on them at discount stores. The designs tend to be a little bit flashy, but who wants a wardrobe full of boring ties? I also love how they almost always have a crazy colored or multicolored lining. They tie an awesome knot, too as they're quite substantial.

What do you guys know about this brand? From what I read they were popular in the 70s. Their official website doesn't tell much.

I'll post up some photos of the two new acquisitions when I get home tonight.

Aren't they like $10 from Marshalls?

Personally, for funky ties/non-conservative ties, I could care less about where they're made. They won't be worn enough.

Yeah, thats what I was asking for. They're really inexpensive and the quality seems killer.

I wear a bold tie to work every now and then. I think I'd go crazy otherwise. And we're not talking insane patterns, just not turbo-soporific.

I had a solid black one that was purchased in a pinch for a formal occasion attended on the fly, and some of the stitching came undone by the time I returned to the hotel. Are there different "levels" though?

I don't know. The woven silk ones I had were pulling and unraveling like an overpriced Charvet tie.
