Hmm, yeah maybe. I think it's a good looking chair, still. Either way, got a few suggestions for chairs suitable for office use in the $500 range? I really love the Sibast No 8, but it's a little hard to find, even here in Denmark (at least if I want the old teak version, which I do

). Helge Sibast's grandchild just started producing it again (last year), by the way. Seems like it's only in oak, though, and they priced it at $1000. Should be able to find it much cheaper used.

Not sure what $500 gets you in Denmark, but you can buy a wishbone chair by Carl Hansen for that here. It is at least as comfortable as the above chair.

Looks like you could probably get a finn juhl diplomat chair by France and sons for a reasonable price as well.

Not a fan. It would better if much slimmer or much chunkier. Also, the way the sculpted base abruptly stops an inch or so below the shade is not very elegant.

That clock sold for 3750. Just under retail. Theres sbout 50 people here and they're going crszy. Damaged goods are selling for more than retail.

Good grief. I´m sorry but that just looks like a collection of square vinyl bags thrown together. There are other far better examples of such a sofa arrangement. If you like that lego look what about a light coloured Polder Sofa from Vitra. I do like the tables though

What exactly do you like about that sofa? To be honest, I really can't stand it myself. The bulk overwhelms even a palatial room like the one in the photo. Also, the way it is upholstered (slip covers, perhaps?) does not complement its right-angled, straight-edged form. It looks sloppy.

Maybe worst of all, the arrangement seems poorly thought out. Why use is the capacity to lounge around with half a dozen other people, very closely, yet all facing away from each other? Odd.

If you want a regularly shaped alternative to that amoebae of a sofa, Restoration Hardware has a somewhat reasonable approximation of the style. I like it, personally. Modern usually means uncomfortable but it looks like a very practical style that would be easy to live with.
