We still have no idea what your budget is realistically. I pointed out a few that were half the price and you balked, so I think if you want genuine advice from the crowd we need some idea of where you are at.

Eames lounge chair is under $1000...unless you buy it in rosewood. The upholstered are very rare so i doubt you will find them under $1000 or find them at all at auction/used.

You've used at least $1000 in energy trying to find an alternative, just buy the one you want.

They have reissued upholstered LCW/LCM's. But you are right in that they are not under $1000.

I am aware of the re-issued upholstered. However it will be a long time before these show up used on the market at any kind of discount.

The DWR eBay outlet has been putting them up if you don't mind a floor model. These sold for $571 and $413 respectively.

someone was looking for a freedom task chair. there are versions with cheaper materials but this make-up is gorgeous, pricey but 40% of retail in the factory outlet not too shappy

I got one of those from a European Vitra retailer a while back. It's infinitely better looking than the regular model. I'm glad that I acted when I did.

My photography is worse than usual. Working on a desk for myself, top is spinneybeck sabrina leather. Making drawers for this to hold a laptop. sketchpad and some pens but this will mostly exist to hold a humidor.

Building a bookshelf for behind it shortly after in walnut. Bought a moller chair for it, walnut/leather.

Obviously not finished yet, just doing the test fit on the top before I finish the frame.
