I was looking at the "Sutton Wool Melange Pant", but they are listed as "wool blend". I wonder just how much wool is in them, given that the word "wool" is featured in the item name.

I have a pair of these and they're actually 100% wool (and pretty nice), I think they just mixed up the descriptions on the site.

Last summer I ordered a "wool blend" Club Monaco sport coat that ended up being 60% wool/40% poly... I returned it. Hopefully Club Monaco is not trying to race Banana Republic to the bottom by sneaking in synthetic fabrics, but I'm not too impressed.

Thanks for letting me know. Back into consideration :)

Just my two cents,

all these sutton wool trousers are noted that they are *fully* lined. But no they are barely lined !! I returned all of it. I cannot speak for the melange one because that's the only one I did not buy, so be cautious!

Went down to the flagship store yesterday as I saw their online locator had the MiUSA sports coat in a size up (40R) in stock. Ended up exchanging it and will be keeping it. Dropped it off at the seamstress today to have the sleeves shortened and back cleaned up a little.

I was looking at these wool jogging pants :

http://m.clubmonaco.ca/bbhost:0/product/index.jsp?productId=106300506

But was when I saw the tag if it being only 50 percent wool I decided it past. I don't know where CM is heading with their trousers.

I have a100 gift card guess I will just wait till their inis knots get knock down so I can put it towards that. Their 3rd party stuff is the only thing appealing these days to me.

They've got 50% off sale, which isn't too bad; I picked up 2 pairs of the Sutton Melange at $79.50+tax each, to see what they're like. I felt them in store, and the fabric felt nice, and wasn't too thick, so if it can work as a 3-season trouser that would be nice. Some of my other flannels are thicker.

Just got this in Canada to try it out:

http://www.clubmonaco.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=21342056&prodFindSrc=search

Nice jacket, size 36 fits me well, but I am not sure if I should keep it. It seems kinda dumb to buy something at full price with lots of sale going on. Do you guys know if these cashmere blazers ever go on sale? I want a navy cashmere blazer, but not sure if I should look for a nicer one from another label that is currently on sale.

One thing worth noting is that this might be a jacket from the previous season, as there is a navy 'New Grant Cashmere Blazer' on their website that had non-functional button at cuffs. The jacket I bought has 3 functional cuff buttons, and it is made it Turkey, I think most of their current suits are made in China.

Speaking of horrible marketing, on this jacket it says the cashmere is from Loro Piana, shouldn't that be a point that can be marketed? But on their website it is not mentioned at all.

They make mistakes/omissions with their online stuff sometimes.

I wouldn't pay full price for anything from Club Monaco, for what it's worth, especially as this is the old model.

Not sure if you're dead set on cashmere, but it is pretty fragile. You didn't ask for one, but my recommendation would be to go with something like hopsack, which is sturdier, and has the advantage of being able to be work all year round.

That jacket (the made in turkey one) has been around for ages and never gone on sale to my knowledge. I bought the hopsack one that came out in the same season and that was before I started law school lol. Four years later, I am articling after graduating from law school, and that jacket still remains at full price.

Given that it's pretty expeez, I would have at least purchased during one of the "spend more get more" type promos.

Good tip; you can get about 35% off IIRC. Happens a couple times a year maybe?

Or get a student to hook you up with a student code for 20% off.

Fwiw, don't be concerned about it being from a previous season. Fit is more streamlined and quality is better with the made in turkey ones in my opinion. Everyone has their own two cents, but I have a lot of experience with the company/brand, and I personally think all these new jackets are pretty awful and wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole.

Thank you althanis and Hype1234 for the feedback and suggestions. Happy new year.

I don't mind that this is from a previous season, I was just wondering if anyone have tried both the old one and the new one? I was at the Eaton center store here last week and didn't see any cashmere blazers, then I just ordered this online.

One interesting thing I noticed is that on both the CA site and the US site this jacket is "$695.00", while for many other items the amounts are of course lower on the US site because of the lower value of CAD, but the differences are smaller than what they should be based on the current exchange rate. So visitors from the US would get a bit of a discount when shopping at Club Monaco up here. No such deals at JCrew from what I have seen.

(Another thing I just noticed is that the spare buttons that came with the jacket were those gold color metal ones, I guess a version of this jacket had those buttons).

Haha the reason why the price is the same is because the jacket is so old balls that the dollar was probably almost at par when they listed it, and it wasn't one of those items that they took down and re-listed with another model/fit picture and updated the prices.
