I'm looking to buy the Desert Boot in Beeswax on Amazon. I'm looking for a size 9, but 9 M US seems to be out of stock, but 9 D(M) US is still available and I was wondering if there was a difference between the two, or will I be good to go with that size?

It shouldn't make a difference, because D just means the width is medium / normal size. Unless you were looking for a specific width you should be ok.

I just got my pair of Beeswax Desert Boots in 7.5D. Aside from the heel slip, the shoes fit perfectly everywhere else. Is this heel slippage expected? I don't think I can size down another half size or else the toebox and everywhere else besides the heel will be too tight.

Yes, for two reasons: first, the beeswax leather is fairly stiff when new. Second, it's only two eyelets and the top eyelet is pretty far down the instep. The good news is, once you've broken them in by wearing them around for a few days the problem goes away, or at least it did on my pair of beeswax Bushacres. I took Obenauf's Leather Oil to mine to hasten the break-in process.

I remember when I first joined SF and I just needed to find Clarks desert boots. When I finally found them in my town they didn't have my size and I just thought :fu::fu::fu: how will I ever become sf approved!

What is this that I'm finding on uptherestore.com? I've been looking for the ronnie fieg slate blue clarks for a while and these look like almost the exact same thing.

not sure if this has been mentioned before but Last Chance in Phoenix, Az has tons of Db's for 40 bucks.

I picked up a pair in beeswax today. They've got quite a few in stock right now.

They also have lots of dirty bucks and other suedes right now along with some Allen Edmonds.

In the past I've bought many pairs of AEs and Frye Boots there as well.
