I used to find desert boots and brogues ugly, but they look nice when you wear them.

I would say work boots or service boots like the Wings + Horns Brown Service Boots mad sexy

They don't make any noise at all, they are as comfortable as sneakers

That's actually my absolute favorite sound.

So jealous. I ordered some and they never charged my card and are not responding to my emails. Hopefully, they'll process the order and get these things to me.

I haven't ordered mine yet, but I'm debating on either new pair of APCs or some more DBs....I'm thinking both haha

been wearing my DB for almost a month.

had several near-slip incidents and was wondering if its really a sign to get it resoled?

if so, resole in less than a month sounds crazy

if not, i just got to be extremely careful when walking on slippery surfaces

Crepe soles don't do well on wet surfaces. These shoes are not made for wet conditions, icy sidewalks, snow, etc. On the other hand, I wear mine in these conditions because I spend most of my day indoors. When I go out in the rain or snow in them, I'm just careful.

Being careful is lot less hassle and expense than getting your DBs resoled.
