They are a bit clunkier, and they have three pairs of eyelets instead of two, and the sole is cheaper. The profile is acceptable, though.

Just FYI for the cheapskates out there. Was just in Target yesterday and their knockoff desert boots are on clearance for $20. Good chance to try for those on the fence I guess.

I wish they had those in a different color than that mid-brown.

WTF? You can wear them out and then exchange them? I need to do this.

Thanks sjnv.

The cola beauties have been ordered from Oi Polloi! I just love that color. Can't believe they are not more widely available.

Has anyone from the US ordered from them before ? How long do orders usually take to arrive? Do I have to worry about paying any duties/taxes?

FWIW, I bought a pair of the J Crew MacAlister boots last year and found them to be sub-par with the Clarks, even though JC's are made in Italy. They just don't feel as supportive and seem to be lacking something.

I find the Clarks to be a little higher on the ankle and a litter more sturdy.

The Clarks also lace up a bit lower then the JC as well, which shows a little nicer under your jeans, IMO.

And for someone with really flat feet, like me, the Clarks seem to offer more support.

Saw those & noted that the sole was not solid all the way through -- it appeared to have diagonal-shaped hollow spaces all over the interior -- meaning gravel would soon poke through the bottom and get lodged up in there.
