The $100 off $250 seems to be dead- I can't get it to work no matter how I try. If anyone has any luck with it, let me know.
My only guess is that it's already July over in merry olde, whereas I just got home to start shopping here. Oh well, I couldn't really afford that anyway.

Edit: If anyone finds another coupon, I'd love to have it. I can't imagine it being that good though...
Edit again: I've emailed CT shamelessly begging for an extentsion. Results posted as soon as I hear back!

I haven't been able to get the $100 off to work either. I'd be willing to beg and plead at this point.

[PS I think it's hilarious that two Alex's missed out on this sale.]

I tried calling, the customer service rep had never even heard of that deal. In the end (three calls) they were very friendly but utterly unhelpful.

I remember reading somewhere that Charles Tyrwhitt will pay import duties. Anyone confirm this?

Yes, they will. You fax the customs receipt to their US tollfree fax number.

Really? Even though it says otherwise on the website?
Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your country will be the responsibility of the customer, as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they might be.

Hmm. I may be wrong. Getting my order from the freight forwarder was a nightmare, so perhaps they made a special exception as a gesture of goodwill. I would go ahead and assume that they won't provide reimbursement as a general policy.

FYI on the back of my most recent CT packing slip from May 2006, it says:
Duty: We will refund any duty charged (please provide proof of duty paid)

What is the tariff for importing leather shoes into the U.S. anyway?

I looked it up from a government website, but couldn't figure out under what category normal dress shoes (not golf shoes) fell.

Does anyone know, offhand?

I received my first order. Shoes turned out too be a tad too big. The quality is not too bad--about the same as my AEs, maybe a little worse. The tie (navy seven-fold) arrived creased and looks terrible.

I'm just going to return it all, although I wonder how they would handle partial refunds given the 100 off 250 code we all used...

Can you tell us what date you ordered, and what date CT told you they shipped?

Whoah up dude, some other forumers may have sizing issues and be in for a swap.

I ordered on 06/29 and received a shipment email the next day.

Good point, tiger. I have the chestnut derbies in size US 9, and the black brouged coming in the same size. I guess if anyone with 8.5's wants to trade...

Tyrwhitt shoes really do run huge...I even sized down for this order
